Capt. Daniel A Harper – Founder & President

Capt.-Daniel-A-HarperSiren Marine founder Dan Harper brings a lifetime of professional boating experience to the company. Beginning his career afloat around age 7, Daniel rehabbed a boy scout project boat of his brother’s into a screened-in ‘camp-aboard’. With a green-stamp purchased two-speed electric trolling motor – Daniel became Captain Daniel. Electronics and programming entered the picture at age 13 learning to write code on an Atari 800 48kb RAM machine.

Daniel has worked as a professional yacht captain for 20 years, with his career in the marine industry spanning many different capacities. Daniel has been a Sailing Instructor for more than 15 years, worked for Offshore Sailing School as Senior Instructor, and worked as the Project Manager on multiple award-winning classic boat restorations. In addition to owning and living aboard his Swan 42, Corban, he’s served on the celestial navigation training schooner, Ocean Star, traveling thousands of sea miles, as well serving as Navigator on many Bermuda Celestial Navigation ocean races.

Jonathan Banks – Chief Operating Officer


jonathan-banksJonathan grew up in England and spent the first part of his career with two of the UK’s leading telecommunications companies; British Telecom and Cable & Wireless. Following his passion for sailing and adventure, Jonathan then embarked on a four-year circumnavigation of the world as skipper of Tenareze, a Swan 57. After sailing 50,000 thousand miles and visiting more than 50 countries, Jonathan dropped anchor in Rhode Island, where he has resided since 1995. Since coming ashore, Jonathan has held senior-level positions with New England Ropes, Thule and Vectrix, and for six years was the Executive Director of Sail America, the national trade association for the sailing industry. Most recently, Jonathan ran his own consulting business and produced the 2014 and 2015 Providence Boat Show.
With a life-long passion for sailing, an in-depth knowledge of the marine industry, and a background in mobile communications,Jonathan Banks brings a wealth of experience to Siren Marine. His extensive business experience includes building leading lifestyle brands and helping multinational companies, fast-growing startups and non-profits achieve their full potential.  As Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan will be focused on growing Siren Marine and fulfilling the company’s vision to lead the boat monitoring industry.

Jonathan’s in-depth knowledge of the marine industry includes working with boat builders, equipment manufacturers, dealers, brokers, retailers, distributors, publishers, charter companies, and trade associations. He is highly regarded throughout the industry, and has served on the board of directors for Sail America, the Grow Boating Advisory Committee, the National Marine Trade Council, the Providence Community Boating Center, and the Barrington Yacht Club. He has spoken at numerous conferences, and was the keynote speaker at the 2012 International Sailing Summit in Melbourne, Australia.

Jonathan lives in Barrington, Rhode Island, and enjoys cruising and racing with his family on their Lippincott 30, And She Was.

Alex Puskar – Technical Support Specialist


Alex PuskarAs a proud owner of a Hydra-Sport 180cc, Anchor Management, Alex brings a long list of technical and industry-related experience to the Siren Marine Team. Alex is also underway to obtaining his United States Coast Guard 6 pack Operators License to further his knowledge in boating operations and the rules of the water.
A life-long passion for boating and years spent on the water led Alex to working at multiple marina’s and boatyards along the Connecticut and Rhode Island coastlines. With a focus on marine electronics, Alex found his niche at the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, RI where he obtained American Boating and Yachting Council (ABYC) certifications in Marine Electronics and Marine Diesel Systems. Alex is also a National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) licensed marine electronics installer.

In his role as Siren Marine’s Technical Support Specialist, Alex is the primary point of contact for all technical-related questions and general customer support. Whether a customer is looking for advice on an installation or help activating the service, Alex is the go-to person.

Alex lives in Newport, RI and enjoys spending time aboard his Hydra-Sport 180cc, Anchor Management, fishing the waters of Narragansett Bay.

corbanShe is also the test bed for all new developments and also where we try out competitors equipment. We not only know our own products, but we know first hand how we stack up.  And we Know that we are the best. I doubt many other companies can say that. I bought Corban in 1996 and have sailed her well over 100,000nm. CORBAN is a Nautor Swan 42 designed by Ron Holland. And she is awesome.
